Plonks Rarity Guide — Every Tier from Common to Secret
Plonks has eight rarity tiers — more than any comparable browser collectible game. Every Plonk you collect belongs to one of these tiers, which determines how hard it was to obtain, how valuable it is on the marketplace, and how much other players want it.
This guide covers what each tier means in practice, which packs can yield which rarities, and what to expect from the rarest pulls in the game.
The Eight Rarity Tiers
Common
weight 1000The foundation of every collection. Common Plonks appear frequently across all pack types and are the first items most players accumulate in quantity.
Trading value
Great for early trades — Common duplicates are easy to move and help new players fill gaps in their collection.
Drop context
Available from every pack type. The most frequent pull in the game by a wide margin.
Uncommon
weight 400Noticeably less frequent than Common but still accessible. Uncommon Plonks are the first tier where items start to feel like they have real individual identity.
Trading value
Solid trade fodder. A well-positioned Uncommon can often be swapped for a specific Common or used to negotiate toward a Rare.
Drop context
Available from all pack types, including Basic. Roughly 2.5x rarer than Common.
Rare
weight 100Where pulling something starts to feel like it matters. Rare Plonks are infrequent enough that getting one registers as a good result, not just background noise.
Trading value
Marketplace demand is real. Rare Plonks hold token value and attract buyers from players trying to complete specific collections.
Drop context
Available from all pack types. Roughly 1 in 15 Basic Pack pulls lands on a Rare. 4x rarer than Uncommon.
Epic
weight 25The primary chase target for most players opening Standard and Premium Packs. An Epic pull is the kind of result you notice and remember.
Trading value
High marketplace value. Other players actively hunt Epics, which means listings move quickly and prices reflect real demand.
Drop context
All pack types have some chance at Epic. Basic Packs land roughly 1 in 200, Standard roughly 1 in 25, Premium roughly 1 in 12, Ultra roughly 1 in 5. A pity guarantee applies. 4x rarer than Rare.
Legendary
weight 5Rare even for experienced pack openers. Legendary Plonks are rare enough that seeing one in your results is worth announcing to the chat.
Trading value
Premium collectibles. Listed infrequently and watched closely by experienced collectors. A Legendary can fund multiple Ultra Pack openings if priced right.
Drop context
Best odds from Premium and Ultra Packs (roughly 1 in 92 and 1 in 36). Basic Packs land about 1 in 4,000; Standard about 1 in 260. A pity guarantee applies. 5x rarer than Epic.
Mythic
weight 1Extraordinarily rare. Mythic Plonks are the rarest items most players will ever pull, and even dedicated Ultra Pack openers may go long stretches without seeing one.
Trading value
Commands the highest marketplace prices of any reliably obtainable tier. A Mythic listing attracts serious attention from collectors who have been hunting for one.
Drop context
Best odds from Ultra Packs — roughly 1 in 400 per open. Premium Packs land about 1 in 2,000; Standard about 1 in 10,000. A pity guarantee applies. 5x rarer than Legendary.
Secret
weight 0.2The rarest tier you can pull from a pack — sitting above Mythic. A Secret pull is a server-wide event: when one drops, every player currently online sees the announcement.
Trading value
The most valuable tradeable items in the Plonks economy. Secret Plonks trade at a significant premium and are held by collectors as status items as much as assets.
Drop context
Best odds from Ultra Packs — roughly 1 in 1,200 per open. Premium Packs land about 1 in 14,000 — a trace, but real. A pity guarantee applies. Roughly 3x rarer than Mythic in the Ultra pool.
Exclusive
not in packsA special tier outside the normal rarity ladder. Exclusive Plonks cannot be pulled from any pack — they are awarded only through specific milestones, like the Day 28 daily login reward (which also gives 2,500 bonus tokens). They cannot be traded, listed on the marketplace, or obtained any other way.
Trading value
Exclusive Plonks are permanently bound to the account that earned them. They cannot be traded or listed on the marketplace — they exist purely as a badge of dedication.
Drop context
Not available from packs. Currently awarded as the Day 28 daily reward, alongside 2,500 bonus tokens. No other path to obtaining one exists.
Which Packs Can Drop Which Rarities
Each pack type has a minimum rarity floor and a practical ceiling where most of the weight sits — but every pack can drop higher rarities at trace odds. Choosing the right pack for what you are chasing is the core strategic decision in Plonks.
| Pack | Cost | Min | Max |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic Pack | 100 tokens | Common | Legendary (trace) |
| Standard Pack | 250 tokens | Common | Mythic (trace) |
| Premium Pack | 500 tokens | Uncommon | Secret (trace) |
| Ultra Pack | 1,000 tokens | Rare | Secret |
Min = minimum rarity floor. Max = highest rarity possible, including at trace odds. "(trace)" indicates the rarity appears at very low probability.
The Pity System — Guaranteed Pulls
Plonks has a pity system that tracks your pack opens and guarantees a drop if you go too long without hitting a given rarity. Pity counters only build for rarities present in the pack you are opening — a Basic Pack does not build Mythic or Secret pity, for example. To make progress toward the rarest tiers, you need to open packs that actually include those rarities in their pool.
Pity only builds when opening a pack that includes that rarity in its pool. Opening Basic Packs does not build Mythic or Secret pity.
The Exclusive Tier — Earned, Not Pulled
Exclusive is a special tier that sits outside the normal pack rarity ladder. Unlike every other tier, Exclusive Plonks cannot be found in any pack. The only way to obtain one is by reaching Day 28 of the daily reward cycle — a full four weeks of logins. The Day 28 reward also includes 2,500 bonus tokens.
Exclusive Plonks are permanently bound to the account that earned them. They cannot be traded, listed on the marketplace, or transferred in any way. There is currently one Exclusive Plonk in the game: Lucky, described as "Fortune favours the faithful."
When a player earns an Exclusive Plonk, a server-wide announcement goes out to every player online. It is a mark of dedication — not luck, not tokens, just persistence.
How Rarity Drives Marketplace Value
In most pack opening games, rarity is cosmetic — a label attached to your item that changes its color. In Plonks, rarity is economic. The marketplace is entirely player-driven, which means the price of any Plonk reflects what other players are actually willing to pay for it based on how hard it is to find.
Common Plonks change hands frequently at modest prices — useful for new players looking to build a collection through trades rather than packs alone. As rarity increases, listings become less frequent and prices rise proportionally. Legendary and Mythic Plonks are listed rarely, watched closely, and priced to reflect months of pack opening odds.
This means every pull has economic meaning beyond its personal value to you. A duplicate Epic might feel like a miss. But to another player who has been hunting it, that duplicate is exactly what they need. The marketplace lets you convert it into tokens for your next run of Ultra Packs.
